Instructor - Lyn Slade
When: Saturday October 14, 1-5PM
Spend an afternoon in a creative, joyful environment. In this short workshop you will learn the basics of needle felting two dimensional art. Creative Connections artisan Lyn Slade has 20+ years of needle felting teaching experience and is considered one of the area’s leading experts. She will walk you through the fun, fast and forgiving technique of “painting with wool”. Using Lyn’s tools, your investment is small to learn a new skill and go home with an 8x10 work of art. In this workshop you’ll focus on a seascape, inspired by Lyn’s current exhibit Among the Waves now hanging in the gallery. The pictures shown here are example of Lyn's work in this medium. You’ll create a seascape that is appealing to YOU and uniquely yours.During the workshop there will be a demonstration of stretching your work over a canvas, so you can mount your piece at home. People ages 10-15 are welcome with an accompanying adult. Class unsuitable for those under 10. (People 16 and over can come on their own.) Class will be limited to 12 students.
