Romayne Dawnay - 'The Dancing Bones of St.Francis'

About the artist:
Born in Compton Bassett, England, Romayne Dawnay was educated at The Oxford School of Art and Hornsey Art School, London. She
has worked in Rome on sets at Cine Citta, and as an archaeological
draughtsman on numerous sites in Italy and the Middle East. Her
archaeological drawings appear in journals of The British School at
Rome, The British Institute of Persian Studies, and various publications
of Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania, and the Royal
Ontario Museum. A painter for many years, her work has appeared in
group exhibitions in England, Italy and America. A solo exhibition was
held at the Piers Feetham Gallery, London. A children’s book, The
Champions of Appledore, which she wrote and illustrated, received a
Kirkus Review pointer when it was published by McMillan.
She lives with her husband by a lake in Ashburnham, Massachusetts, USA.
