Painting the Lyrical Landscape in Pastel

Materials to bring:
- Please bring your own easel set-up that you prefer, either table or flooreasel. It is easier to use pastel at an easel.
 
- Your own photos of any type of landscape and/or iPad with photos(remember to charge it)
 
- A selection of any soft pastels you may own, no oil pastels please. Ifyou are looking to add to your collection of pastels, I recommend theSennelier half-sticks sets, that   are not too bad price wise (not theindividual sticks that have a label and they crumble) My favorite brandsof soft pastel are Blue Earth, Terry Ludwig, Great American, Girault,Prismacolor or Remebrandt, Schminke, Townsend, and Sennelier halfsticks.Uart 400 (off-white color) 9x12 or 12x16 sizes will work.
 
- Foam core or board to hold your paper on the easel.
 
- Masking, artist tape or binder clips to hold paper in place
 
- Non-latex gloves or some type of barrier cream such as Gloves in a
 
- Bottle Small sketchbook toned either tan or grey are favorites
 
- Pencil, pen, pastel pencil or whatever you prefer to draw with
 
- Cheap flat paint brush for applying underpainting
 
- 91% alcohol and/or Tom Norton Walnut Ink* I enjoy utilizing both ofthese with underpainting. Paper towels or blue shop towels for wipingout ink and clean-up
